I purchased a drone late last year. I have long wanted to get into shooting video with a drone and decided it was time to buy one. I quickly realized that a gimbal is a must-have if you want to shoot smooth gliding footage. A drone without a gimbal can do well for photos but not video. When the weather improves I hope to get outside often with my new purchase and see what I can accomplish with it. For now, here is a very quick text flight over West Kennebunk Maine.
I recently produced a second drawing and filmed it in time lapse for entertainment purposes. The subject this time was iconic boxer Mike Tyson. The drawing took approximately 4 hours from start to finish. I used graphite pencil on paper. Here is a short video/photography experiment I created recently, I am planning on doing many more with different subjects, but this is the initial test of the effect. Future projects will document new artwork that I have in the pipeline which should create a very interesting effect showing the drawing or painting being created from start to finish in a matter of seconds.
