New Year and New Photos

Having been on leave from work for the last week or so I have had a chance to step away from the stress of the daily grind and again discover the joy of picking up a camera and heading out to find interesting photo opportunities to add to my portfolio. I have been away from photography now for too long and it has been one of my new years resolutions to get back on the horse and start to really build new material into my repertoire. Below is a selection of shots taken in early January 2012, hope you enjoy them.

Time Lapse Video/Photography.

Here is a short video/photography experiment I created recently, I am planning on doing many more with different subjects, but this is the initial test of the effect. Future projects will document new artwork that I have in the pipeline which should create a very interesting effect showing the drawing or painting being created from start to finish in a matter of seconds.

Macro Photography from Winter Island

Yesterday I went on a walk in Winter Island in Salem Massachusetts. The weather was awesome and I brought my camera to see if I could get any new photos for my portfolio. I selected these few shots from about 50 that I took. Click on the images to view them full scale.

Food for Thought

This past Sunday I was commissioned to take photos for a local Salem fine dining restaurant. I took approx 200 photos and have posted a small portion of them here. The final photos will be used in both the new website and printed menu. I shall create a separate post to show these when they are ready. I used a Canon Digital Rebel Xti variety of lenses such as a 50mm macro lens, 24-70mm and 12-24mm for wider angled shots.
